Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming various types of flooring (e.g., tile, vinyl, carpet, hardwood).
- Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.
- Apply and remove floor finishes, waxes, and sealants according to manufacturer instructions and facility protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of floor surfaces to identify and address potential hazards or damage.
- Respond promptly to spills, stains, and other urgent cleaning needs to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with other facility staff to ensure that floor care tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Follow all safety guidelines and infection control procedures to ensure a hygienic environment for residents and staff.
- Proven experience in floor care or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
- Knowledge of various floor care techniques, equipment, and cleaning agents.
- Ability to operate floor care machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
