Overview of the Position:
Under the direct supervision of the Engineering Manager: Assists engineers with creating component repair documentation, suitable for FAA and/or airline approval. Duties include but are not limited to, creating / revising engineering packages for new repair approvals, provide assistance to Technicians in Operations to troubleshoot components or solve problems, must interact with Quality Assurance as well as other internal customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists Engineers and Technicians to create and revise test equipment. Interfaces with Operations on troubleshooting components.
- Creates and revises drawings using SolidWorks CAD Software platform.
- Creates PMA and Repair Process Packages for submittal to the FAA or other approval entities for review by the Manager of Engineering.
- Researches, collects data, and works with design teams to evaluate, select, adapt, and modify techniques, procedures and criteria to solve problems.
- Works with Product Lifecycle Management software to structure Bill of Materials / organize and archive documentation and other intellectual property
- Supports operations with technical support as required
Education / Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree in electronics or equivalent military / other training required
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience providing technical service and/or engineering support in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience assembling / fabricating test fixtures or other engineering projects

Ability to understand and apply information from component maintenance manuals, structural repair manuals, aircraft maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins and other aircraft reference materials.
Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the warehouse work environment is usually moderate.
