Job Summary:

As our Medical Front Desk Receptionist, you are the face of the practice. As the first person patients see when they come into the practice, it is your responsibility to greet patients and ensure they feel comfortable during their check in process. This person should be friendly, energetic, have a positive attitude, great communication skills, detail oriented and focused on excellent patient interaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls as necessary
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for multiple providers
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues or escalate them to the appropriate Supervisor/Coordinator/Practice Manager

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures and equipment
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
