Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly within nursing homes, group homes, or long-term care settings. Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Support residents in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance for mobility.
- Foster a positive environment by engaging residents in social activities and promoting their emotional well-being.
- Uphold resident rights by treating all individuals with respect and dignity, ensuring their privacy is maintained at all times.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and stay updated on best practices in patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiving role within a nursing home, group home, or long-term care facility is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding these principles in daily interactions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities or other needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in caregiving.
