Accountant II/Accounts Receivable

An Accountant II/AR Manager at Absolute Group is responsible for assisting the accounting department with the day-to-day tasks as well as managing accounts receivable daily. Including but not limited to, receiving and applying checks, posting quantities, signing lien waivers, recording entries and completing monthly reconciliations.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Receiving checks
• Applying checks to the correct invoice, AIA, and estimates in the accounting software
• Applying paid quantities to unit price billings
• Create new estimates as necessary
• Sign and return lien waivers
• Communicate with project managers on accounts receivable collections
• Prepare journal entries
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Backup to Accounts Payable data entry
• Prepare bank reconciliations
  
  

Requirements:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience of 2-5 years accounting experience preferred
• Strong math skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Detail oriented
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle information confidentially
• Familiarity with computers, emailing and able to work with Microsoft applications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
• Understanding of all accounting sequencing/critical timeline scheduling
