Greenland Homes is a local 100 % employee-owned residential home builder in the Des Moines area. We have been building homes for the past 18 years and continue to grow.
We are in search of a full- time Superintendent. This person will prioritize and perform site duties for the home building process.
Duties include the following:

We are in search of a full- time Superintendent. This person will prioritize and perform site duties for the home building process.
Duties include the following:
- Perform on-site job management for multiple jobs and ensure overall project safety
- Manage projects based on schedules and budget
- Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, Greenland Homes team members, and material suppliers throughout the home building process
- Resolve issues to maintain productivity and relationships
- Ensure quality control and compliance with the project plans and specifications
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Establish goals and motivate others to reach those goals
- Some physical labor is required.
- Must be able to demonstrate positive, confident, and respectful traits with a team-oriented attitude
- Possess general knowledge of construction and how to use power/hand tools safely
- Have accurate blueprint reading skills
- Possess a current/valid Driver’s License
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be a self-motivator
- 3 or more years of experience as a construction superintendent or foreman (preferred)
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
- Needs to be able to take instruction with minimal follow up
- Excel and thrive in fast-paced environment with tight deadline
