What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer/Carpenter Apprentice position at Absolute Hardwood?
Looking for a laborer and/ or carpenter to help a local Constuction company. No experience is necessary.
Daily activities such as: keeping job sites clean. Moving lumber, flooring and wood. Getting tools from the trucks. Loading and unloading trucks with tools/ equipment.
Also, looking for a Carpenter, with experience. Someone who can complete tasks in home renovations. Must be detailed oriented and have vast knowledge in many aspects of construction. We specialize in Flooring installation, so installing floors will be a big part of the job; As well as Trim, drywall, tile, windows, decks, bathroom/basement/kitchen renovations. Floor Sanding Experience would be ideal? Must be able to lift 80lbs daily. Must have valid DL. Drug and background check will be required.
Absolute Hardwood is looking for a Carpenter. We do mostly residential work, but some commercial work as well.
Experience is preferred, but willing to train the right person. That person must be willing to learn.
Tasks that can/ would be completed depending on the Job at the time:
Demo, Framing, Flooring, Drywall, Tile, Hardwood, Molding/ Trim, Installation of Vanity, and fixtures, painting.
Some other Tasks that can be taught, or asked to be completed:
Job site clean up, materials hulled, general labor tasks, light plumbing and or electrical work.
Absolute Hardwood is a General Contracting Company. Work can vary from Flooring, painting, framing, finished basements, kitchens and , bathroom renovations, or additions.
We are looking for team members who want to excel in all aspects of construction. Have a positive attitude, and are self-starters and fast learners.
Most work is Local, but some jobs can be up to and hour 20 mins away.
A company can be provided to the right individual.
