Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate Medical Assistant staff to ensure high-quality patient care and team performance.
- Oversee daily clinic operations, delegate tasks, manage schedules, and monitor workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure team compliance with established protocols, office policies, and safety standards.
- Address performance issues with professionalism, while fostering growth and accountability.
- Support front and back office operations, including billing, coding, and insurance processing.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and continuing education for MA staff.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential patient records using eClinicalWorks (ECW).
- Ensure the patient environment is safe, clean, and welcoming.
Required Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA).
- Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a healthcare practice.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
- Confident in addressing staff concerns, solving problems, and managing conflict constructively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (ECW) or similar EHR systems.
- Knowledge of scheduling platforms and patient management tools.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding procedures (ICD-10, CPT).
- Ability to troubleshoot minor technical and equipment issues.
- A service-oriented mindset and a commitment to exceptional patient care.
Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in healthcare, medical administration, or related field preferred.
- Additional certifications (C.A.M.A., C.M.A., etc.) are highly valued.
