Medical Biller

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in coding, and maintaining compliance with medical billing regulations. This role is crucial in facilitating the financial operations of our company and requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems.

Duties

• Review and process patient medical records to ensure accurate billing.
• Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies in billing or coding.
• Maintain organized records of all billing transactions and communications.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.

Experience

• Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of medical records is essential.
• Experience with various medical billing systems and software is a plus.
• Knowledge of DRG, ICD-10 and other relevant coding standards is highly desirable.
• Previous work in a medical office environment will be advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50 - $23.00 per hour
