What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works Labor Compliance Officer position at Absolute HR Consulting & Services, Inc?
Looking for an individual that is familiar with State and Federal public works requirements. Individual must have construction industry experience, attention to detail, self-motivated, meet deadlines and reliable.
Under general supervision, responsible for monitoring, investigating, and reporting on the labor practices of contractors and subcontractors engaged in construction work to determine compliance with the State of California and/or Federal prevailing wage laws and regulations.
Education and/or Experience : High School diploma or equivalent supplemented by additional training pertaining to federal and state labor code and prevailing wage requirements. Have some experience in the construction industry and administrative experience related to construction, contract compliance, or procurement practices.
Abilities : Communicate effectively with individuals and groups of diverse interests and social, ethnic and business backgrounds. Exercise initiative and good judgment under pressure. Interact with others and be able to conduct on-site interviews.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
