Key Requirements:
Ownership of Spend: Must have managed substantial budgets ($500K )
Collaboration: Strong ability to work with lines of business
Cost Optimization Experience: Proven track record of optimizing cloud spend while maintaining performance and security
Architectural Skills: Ability to assess automation costs and identify new opportunities
AI/ML in Cost Forecasting: Use AI/ML models to predict cloud expenses based on historical retail sales trends
Retail Experience: Preferred but not required

Core Responsibilities:
Cloud Cost Optimization: Identifying cost-saving opportunities (right-sizing, discounts, storage optimization)
Monitoring & Reporting: Implementing real-time cost tracking and analytics tools
Automation & Governance: Developing scripts, policies, and frameworks for cost control
Collaboration: Aligning cloud spending with business goals alongside finance, engineering, and operations teams
Budgeting & Forecasting: Implementing financial planning strategies to prevent overspending

From the hiring team:
This resource must have some level of ownership of spend, substantial ($500K )
Will be talking to lines of business- must being able to collaborate with others
Cost optimizing experience
Needing someone who has been in the hot seat before- has "spend" attached to their name
Use AI/ML models to predict future cloud expenses based on historical retail sales trends.
Implement cloud cost monitoring tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and Google Cloud Platform Billing to track expenses across departments
Ensures that cloud spending is optimized while maintaining performance, security, and scalability.
