Child Care Director

Job Summary
The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a child care facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves managing staff, developing educational programs, and maintaining compliance with licensing regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that promote the physical, emotional, and intellectual development of children.
• Supervise and mentor child care staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding child care operations.
• Foster positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the community to promote the center's mission.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development while ensuring confidentiality.
• Conduct regular assessments of the facility's programs and make necessary adjustments to improve quality.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to maintain a high standard of care.

Skills

• Strong background in education administration with a focus on early childhood education.
• Experience in higher education teaching or training related to child development is preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in program implementation and compliance.
• Strong communication skills to engage with staff, parents, and community members effectively.
• Ability to create a positive learning environment that fosters growth and development for both children and staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
