Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Clean and maintain assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces.
- Perform custodial duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing and waxing as needed.
- Assist with residential painting tasks when required to maintain aesthetic appeal.
- Carry out industrial and commercial cleaning duties to uphold safety standards.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Support facilities maintenance efforts by assisting with minor repairs or upkeep tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or cleaning roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks effectively.
- Proficient in floor care methods including buffing and polishing.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and visitors.
