Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Duties

• Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Execute industrial cleaning tasks in commercial settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by regularly sanitizing surfaces and replenishing supplies.
• Assist with residential painting and minor facilities maintenance as needed.
• Act as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and ensure all areas are kept clean and organized.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing, is a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safety protocols is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
