Supervisor/Custodian

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment and immaculate supervisor skills. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on industrial cleaning, floor care, and general maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Maintain floors through buffing, mopping, and waxing as needed.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance needs and inventory.
• Carry out custodial duties in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Act as a porter by transporting items as needed within the facility.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is advantageous.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or related fields is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
