Absolute Staffers LLC is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Danbury in Danbury, CT. Primary Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient evaluations and treatments.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs and preliminary complaints.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens as required.
- Maintain and organize medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Retrieve medical records for clinical and administrative staff as needed.
- Support administrative tasks, including filing and managing correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with federal healthcare protocols and standards
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Certification as a medical assistant in the state of Connecticut.
- Current CPR certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a medical assistant.
- Experience in medical settings involving adult patients, preferably within correctional facilities, hospitals, or clinics
Work Schedule & Benefits
- Hours: Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Paid Time Off: Up to 80 hours annually.
- Sick Leave: Up to 56 hours annually.
- Holidays: Twelve (12) paid federal holidays per year.
