We are excited to add a passionate, dedicated person to our Rehabilitation team who will work directly under our current providers. The applicant should posess an understanding of acute injuries and chronic pain. You will work with new and ongoing patients to create individualized plans of treatment that consist of appropriate exercises, procedures, and techniques to promote effective and safe recovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on therapy, including exercises, stretches, manual therapy, and therapeutic modalities to injured patients.
- Educate patients on exercises they can do at home for faster recovery and long-term health benefits.
- Aid in the developement personalized programs that incorporate strength and flexibility exercises.
- Educate clients on proper exercise techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Monitor client progress and adjust rehab programs as necessary to maximize results.
- Provide guidance on nutrition, health coaching, and lifestyle changes to support overall wellness.
- Effectively and continually educate patients about the need for, and progress through, the care plan.
- Maintain a clean and organized training environment.
- Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication and support.
Qualifications
- The ability to read and understand the functional exam.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to injuries and chronic pain.
- Proficiency in anatomy and physiology as it pertains to injuries and chronic pain.
- Understanding of body mechanics to ensure safe exercise and rehabilitation practices.
- Experience or knowledge in rehabilitation and the progression of therapies required.
- Certification as an Athletic Trainer or Experience working independantly with patients with acute injuries as a Physical Therapy Assistant, ATC or Chiropractic Assistant
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate clients effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
