Job Description:
As a Segway Tour Guide at Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours, you will have the opportunity to lead engaging and informative tours through Chicago's most iconic neighborhoods and landmarks. From the stunning vistas of Grant Park to the cultural hub of Museum Campus, you will guide guests on an adventure they'll never forget.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Segway tours with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Provide entertaining and educational commentary on Chicago's history, architecture, and culture.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants at all times.
- Assist with tour logistics, including check-in, equipment setup, and basic office tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tour equipment and facilities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in tour guiding, customer service, or related fields preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Chicago's attractions, history, and geography.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse audiences.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to operate Segways safely or willingness to undergo training.
Additional Information:
- This position requires availability for at least 3-4 days per week, including weekends.
- Candidates must be available from early May through the middle of October.
- Guides will be expected to work most summer holidays and weekends.
- Training will be provided for successful candidates.
