Overview: Absolutely Loving Hands Child care is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Pre-K Teacher to support our classroom environment. The Assistant Pre-K Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and educational experience for children aged 3-5 years. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and eager to grow in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily activities and lessons.
- Support the emotional, social, and academic development of children.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.
- Supervise children during activities, meals, and playtime to ensure safety.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff members.
- Prepare classroom materials and set up activities as instructed by the Lead Teacher.
- Observe and document children’s behavior and progress to share with the teaching team.
- Adhere to licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting (preferred).
- Candidates who have obtained PA child care clearances (preferred)
- If you do not already obtain the proper clearances, we’re happy to assist you in preparing them.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with children.
