Job Overview
The Building Automation Controls Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing building systems. This is a direct placement role at Abstrakt Marketing Group LLC where the candidate will be responsible for completing service calls, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Schedule & Compensation
This full-time position comes with a salary of $40 - $60/hr and requires the successful candidate to obtain/show proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service calls on existing BMS systems
* Troubleshoot installations and correct deficiencies without direct supervision
* Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
* Monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved
* Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences are developed
* Identify opportunities for additional building enhancements and perform upgrades and/or small scale retrofits on existing systems
* Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on estimating additional work
* Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS systems
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, & software integration
* Knowledge of Niagara commissioning tools and field circuit debugging skills
* Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical fields
* Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
* Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills
* Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Niagara, various operating systems
* Proven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction
