As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Tier 1 IT Technician to join our team. Position Overview The Tier 1 IT Technician will be responsible for providing onsite and remote technical support, resolving basic IT issues, and assisting with the maintenance of secure networks for our clients. This entry-level role requires strong communication skills, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues, and a passion for learning and growing within the IT industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for client IT issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
- Assist in administering and maintaining IT environments, including Microsoft 365 and secure networks
- Utilize IT support tools such as RMM, PSA, ticketing, and documentation systems to track and resolve issues
- Resolve common technical issues, escalating complex issues to higher-level technicians or engineers
- Ensure proper documentation of IT assets, system configurations, and service tickets
- Adhere to security protocols and best practices while working with government contractor networks
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and hardware checks
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear updates and resolutions for IT problems
- Work with team members to ensure timely issue resolution and improve IT service processes
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role (MSP experience is a plus)
- Required Certification: Microsoft MS-102 or equivalent
- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft SC-200, SC-300
- Experience with basic IT management tools, including RMM, PSA, ticketing, and documentation systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and common IT hardware (computers, printers, network devices)
- Ability to work onsite as needed and travel locally using company vehicles
- US citizenship required for government contractor support compliance
- Clean driving record (required for company car insurance coverage)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
