We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and oversee our HVAC service department, handling both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position involves managing a team of skilled technicians, ensuring quality service and repairs, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership : Train and manage HVAC technicians and support staff to ensure high performance and adherence to industry standards.
- Project Management : Oversee and coordinate HVAC service projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
- Quality Control : Monitor and enforce quality control standards on service, maintenance, and repairs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Customer Service : Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries and escalations, ensuring satisfaction through effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Technical Support : Provide technical guidance to technicians on complex issues and troubleshooting, ensuring quick and efficient problem-solving.
- Scheduling and Dispatch : Manage technician schedules to optimize productivity, minimizing downtime while ensuring coverage for all service calls.
- Inventory and Equipment Management : Monitor inventory levels, order parts and equipment as needed.
- Budgeting and Reporting : Develop and maintain department budgets, track expenses, and report on key performance metrics related to team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Safety Compliance : Promote and enforce safety standards, and ensure all technicians follow company and industry guidelines.
Requirements
Experience : Minimum of 5 years in the field for HVAC service and installation, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role preferred.
Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation practices, and repair techniques for residential and commercial projects.
Skills : Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills; strong problem-solving abilities.
Computer Skills : Proficient in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM and inventory management systems a plus.
Customer-Focused : Ability to build strong relationships with customers and handle service issues with professionalism and empathy.
