MRP Planner:
We have grown exponentially over the last couple of years and need a resourceful and innovative Planner to be responsible for Procurement & Production Planning and maintaining an adequate inventory supply of materials for production. This position will report directly to the company’s Manufacturing VP.
This is a full-time salaried position with our fast-growing company. We have cultivated a professional, but friendly atmosphere where respect and communication are highly valued.
What You Will Do:
- Procure goods i.e. raw goods, packaging, ingredients etc.
- Establish and maintain healthy supplier/vendor relationships.
- Plan, operate, and maintain daily MRP reports to ensure adequate materials supply for weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Assist with updating materials data in ERP system.
- Managing Inventories in multiple locations and multiple formats.
- Create and update PO’s, order confirmations, and delivery dates in ERP system.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to ensure POs are fulfilled and verify expected delivery dates.
- Manage transportation of raw materials from multiple locations to multiple destinations i.e testing facilities, 3rd party storage, extraction facility.
- Escalate any risks to manager; inform company partners as needed.
- Work cross functionally as needed to develop mitigation plans and provide updates.
- Document and share supplier performance issues to appropriate internal functions,
- (Procurement, Supplier Quality).
- Manage inventory of POs, procurement stock, and procurement non-stock items.
- Develop and maintain inventory systems for on-site and off-site materials and supplies.
- Gather between two to three supplier, vendor, and shipping company quotes for purposes of price negotiation.
- Procure and maintain required quantities of materials (supplies) to support optimal production.
- Assess and revise inventory processes for increased efficiency and profitability.
- Develop policies and procedures that promote supply chain efficiency; revise as needed.
- Verify supply chain policies and procedures adhere to company and regulatory quality and safety standards. Implement subsequent changes as needed.
- Assess the need for material-handling staffing and equipment. Make recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Manage production planning, work order priorities, short- and long-term capacity planning, and reporting.
- Create and schedule production orders per plan.
- Coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided to maintain production.
- Proactively communicate and mitigate issues with production constraints.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Logistics, Quality, R&D, and other teams as needed to review production schedules, testing schedules, backlog status, and other potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling.
- Support shipment scheduling between manufacturer and 3PL to ensure timely delivery of target work orders.
- Interact with production daily to resolve issues regarding production scheduling or to provide additional information as requested from production.
- Manage work-in process and ensure production orders are properly processed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualities and Skills You Will Need:

- 3-5 years Planning, Operations or related experience.

- Able to develop and maintain strong cooperative working relationships within the group and across the organization.
- Experience using an ERP system; Acumatica experience preferred.
