Payroll Specialist

As a highly motivated and flexible payroll specialist, you will process bi-weekly payroll for over 1,700 employees. You will also maintain our personnel database and ensure accurate salary information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for 1,700 employees under two company codes
• Maintain personnel database with accurate salary information
• Handle employee wage garnishments within ADP and ensure compliance
• Create and pay out off-cycle payrolls annually
• Resolve employee complaints related to payroll and compensation
• Prepare reports for relevant departments
• Make adjustments for raises, bonuses, and commissions
• Process wage garnishments
• E nsure timely and accurate compensation for employees
• Train and support another HR team member as backup for payroll processing

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or relevant field preferred
• At least 3 years of experience with ADP Workforce Now required
• Proven experience as a payroll specialist in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
• Excellent attention to detail
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
• Excellent communication skills
• Trustworthy and confidential
• Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Basic HR knowledge required
