Abt Electronics has an immediate opening for the position of a Recycle Center Associate. We are a family-owned company that has been in business since 1936 and continues to experience strong growth year after year. Abt Electronics specializes in electronics, appliance & furniture sales, delivery, installation, servicing, and recycling of all the products we sell. In addition, must be comfortable contributing / working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and fun work environment. Primary duties include :
- Ability to dolly appliances on their own depending on the size / type of appliance
- Good multi-tasking skills
- Sorting TVs into different bins of either flat or tube TVs
- Neatly wrapping TVs on a skid
- Unloading the truck of electronics and sorting wire, metal, receivers, and misc. electronics
- Unloading / sorting recyclables such as plastic, cardboard, metal, and Styrofoam
- Maintaining the cardboard baler, Styrofoam machine, and garbage conveyor operational for the fleet to unload their recyclables
- Safely operate warehouse machinery & tools
- Maintaining a clean workplace
