As a paid intern in the Global Security Office, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience while being immersed in Abt’s organizational culture. Interns will learn from some of the top experts in their respective fields while experiencing events / programs that are useful in any professional setting. Our programs will consist of a robust and structured curriculum that encompasses professional development opportunities, networking events, and a mentorship program. Interns can be remote, hybrid, or in person and can be located anywhere in the United States.The Summer Internship Program at Abt Global is 10 weeks, beginning June 2, 2025, through August 8, 2025. Interns must be able to work full time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the program.Key Roles and Responsibilities : Support the design and implementation of security and risk management plans, processes, and initiativesConduct independent research and analysis to produce threat trend analyses, risk assessments, tailored security reporting, and briefings on countries where Abt personnel are deployedPromote the implementation of security best practices throughout the organizationAssist in the development and facilitation of global security training initiatives for Abt staffDepartment Qualifications : Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s-level graduate degree programAcademic and professional experience in International Relations, Security Studies, Regional Studies, Security and Risk Management, or related fieldsExcellent research, analysis, and briefing skillsInterest in strategic and tactical planningAbility to function in a fast-moving, ever-changing environmentProgram Minimum Qualifications : Has completed at least two years of college courseworkHas excellent communication skills, both oral and writtenIs available to work full-time throughout the 10-week internshipIs eligible to work in the United StatesTransitioning military are also encouraged to applyWhat We OfferWe foster an environment where you can Thrive Your Way.
