We are looking for a skilled financial controller who will act as a key figure in AbTech's strategic decision making, financial management and transparency. Your abilities.
You have proven your ability to successfully manage all functions of the accounting department including:
- Establish and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Maintain and test system of financial internal control
- General ledger (record all financial transactions including journal entries)
- Prepare monthly financial statements including consolidation of subsidiary companies
- Reconcile all balance sheet account balances
- Prepare other financial reports, as needed
- Oversight of accounts payable function
- Oversight of accounts receivable function
- Budgeting, sales forecasting, and cash flow forecasting
- Weekly sales reports
- Cost accounting (standard cost system) and inventory control
- Banking activities including wire transfers, deposits, check authorizations and bank reconciliations
- Manage audit and tax work completed by outside independent public accountants
- Support President in providing regular updates to the Board of Directors
- Administer insurance coverage for property, general liability, and D&O
- Manage all payroll functions
- Liaison with Paychex Oasis PEO for payroll and human resource functions
- Manage bank line of credit and other debt instruments
- Maintain stockholder records and capitalization table
- Maintain corporate/administrative records
- Property tax records and filings
- Sales tax tracking and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience
- CPA certification or significant CPA related experience
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with QB Enterprise Solutions or similar
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and manage efficient workflow
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Pleasant demeanor with solid people and team skills
- Collaborative and open to cross team discussion and idea creation
