Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Phlebotomist to partner with our team! The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric patients, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing excellent care. This is a flexible opportunity to assist our clinic during busy periods with the potential for increased hours as our practice continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture, capillary collections, blood draws and other specimen collections primarily for pediatric patients.
- Collect nasal, buccal, and throat swabs.
- Ensure accurate labeling and handling of all specimens.
- Maintain a clean and organized phlebotomy area, following all safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, parents, and caregivers.
- maintain proper documentation utilizing a system of your choosing.
- Ensure compliance with all clinic protocols, including sterilization and infection control procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2 Years work experience as a phlebotomist (Preferred)
- Hold Recognized Certification from a valid certifying Organization (ASCP or NHA)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with children and parents.
- Ability to work independently and deliver reports to our management and doctors.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Child Abuse Clearance and pass a background check, as we are primarily a pediatric facility.
Other Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work on an as-needed basis.
- Comfortable working in a holistic, functional medicine environment.
- Perform light physical tasks: Duties may include, but are not limited to, light lifting (up to 25lbs), walking, standing, and occasional bending
