Overview
We are seeking a dedicated School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating and nurturing young minds, creating a positive learning environment, and fostering academic growth.
Duties
Develop a dynamic schedule of programming including a variety of engaging experiences for physical, emotional, social and spiritual development
Plan actual program content
Ensure safety and accountability of children on and off premises
Supervise/manage after school staff members including program specific orientation for new staff, training, re-training, reviews
Ensure appropriate staffing for set-up, actual program coverage, potential late coverage, grocery shopping.
Implement and reinforce code of conduct with staff, students and parents
Develop and maintain parent communication
Communicate regularly with administration/supervisor
Maintain records (student, attendance, accident, incident, parent communication)
Manage the program budget for purchases and staffing
Participate in ongoing training
Skills
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Ability to engage students through creative methods such as crafts, games, sports and other related activities
- First aid certification is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
Work Location: In person
