Next Gen/Family Pastor

Position: Family Ministry Pastor

Location: Abundant Life Church

Size: 200-250 Members

At Abundant Life Church, we are on a mission to see families grow closer to God and thrive in their faith. We're looking for a passionate Family Ministry Pastor to lead our children, youth, and family ministries in a way that reflects the heart of the Gospel engaging, multi-generational, and culturally inclusive. What You'll Do:

• Lead and equip volunteer teams within our children's and student ministries, empowering them to share the love of Jesus.
• Build meaningful relationships with parents, offering support and resources for their spiritual journey.
• Develop creative, engaging strategies to reach children, youth, and families, and ensure all ministry programming aligns with Abundant Life's vision.
• Teach and facilitate small groups to help children and students grow deeper in their faith.
• Provide pastoral care to families and help them navigate the challenges of life with the truth of the Gospel.
• Plan, recruit, and train volunteers to ensure thriving ministry teams.
• Be an active part of the church community, contributing to events and supporting the church's mission beyond just family ministry

Skills & Experience:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Experience in family ministry, leading children's or student programs.

• Ability to provide pastoral care and counseling for families, children, and youth. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft and/or similar programs.
• A proactive, self-starter with a passion for creating an environment where families can thrive.

Qualifications:

• Must align with the mission and vision of Abundant Life Church.

Experience in family ministry and leading teams.

• Biblical/theological education is preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment with sensitive information.
• Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Physical requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs, standing/walking as needed.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
