Flux Core Welder Job Description
Position : Flux Core Welder
Shifts Available : Day & Night Shifts
Pay Rate : $19 - $23 per hour
Job Overview :
We are seeking skilled Flux Core Welders to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) and be able to pass a 1G or 1F weld test. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols while working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) on various metal components according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
- Set up welding machines, select proper wire and settings, and ensure quality welds.
- Perform 1G (flat groove) or 1F (flat fillet) weld test as part of the qualification process.
- Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure structural integrity and compliance with welding standards.
- Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, following company safety protocols.
- Operate grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication tools as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure job completion within deadlines.
