Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled Hem Saw Operator to join our production team. As a Hem Saw Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Hem Saw to cut metal bars, tubes, or other materials to specified lengths. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, ensuring that all cuts meet precise measurements and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate the Hem Saw machine to cut materials to specified lengths based on work orders or blueprints.
- Select appropriate saw blades, materials, and settings based on material type and cutting requirements.
- Monitor machine operations, adjusting feed rates, blade speeds, and material position as necessary to ensure precise cuts.
- Inspect cut parts for quality and dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments like tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and performing regular machine cleaning and maintenance.
- Record production data, including cut lengths, quantities, and material usage, to ensure accurate tracking and inventory management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or issues.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met on time and according to specifications.
- Follow work orders and prioritize tasks according to deadlines.
