The counselor will provide educational services to children through the delivery of creative, interactive models of curricula that are evidence-based and trauma-informed. Supporting our community-based efforts to promote social-emotional learning and violence prevention amongst children and adolescents. Two years' experience working with children in a community setting. Must display sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the client and their families.
Providing crisis counseling and supportive services and guidance to adults. Assist the adult to understand and overcome social and emotional problems relating to domestic violence. Provide information and assistance with filing compensation claims or filing for Injunction for Protection. Provide survivors with information about the behaviors that constitute abuse, and safety issues.
Must be energetic, flexible and creative with a high ethical standard.
Bachelors degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education, Public Health, Psychology, or other related field.
Must have a valid drivers license and auto insurance. Be able to pass a Level 2 background check and drug test.
