Hiring Bonus: $1000 after successful completion of 120-day probationary period and an acceptable attendance record.
The ideal candidate will supervise, and coordinate activities of workers engaged in fabrication and assembly of structural, ornamental, or metal products by supervising production employees. Carryout supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. To be considered for this position the ideal candidate will have ASME or API tank fabrication experience and be familiar with using sub arc welding equipment. Working hours are 6:00 – 4:30 M – Thur. Must be willing to transition to swing shift in 8-10 weeks.
Duties Include:
- Inspects work in progress and finished products
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirement for completion of job assignment
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
- Maintains labor requirements to meet production schedules
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
- Analyzes and resolves work problems. or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
- Maintains time and production records
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
- Performs activities of workers supervised
- Examines defective machinery to determine cause of malfunction and reports need for machine repairs
- Other duties may be assigned
