Thermoforming Machine Operator

ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions is a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging providing critical applications in healthcare, personal care, and food products. Our growing company is seeking a Thermoforming Operator for 1st shift (6AM-6PM) and 2nd shift (6PM-6AM) in the Schaumburg, IL location. Responsibilities:

• Correctly setup and operate Thermoforming machine
• Check operating conditions of all machines to ensure quality, production, and safe operation of equipment
• Meet all product quality, safety, and production standards
• Ensure Thermoforming machine is running at maximum output
• Ensure equipment is being operated safely
• Understand and complete shift reports, production forms, process conditions, pounds of production and waste, etc.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor or Lead immediately
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety instructions
• Participate in ongoing Continuous Improvement and Focus improvement processes
• Able to understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by supervision

Qualifications:

• Good working knowledge of Thermoformer or any other equipment related to the department
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide when working with set production figures
• Must be able to read standard and metric measuring tape
• Must be able to weigh in pounds and ounces
• Must have high level of mechanical skills to troubleshoot machine
• Minimum of 2-years working in manufacturing environment
• Ability to troubleshoot problems to eliminate defects
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Must be able to drive forklift truck to move material and pallets- or have willingness to learn

Hourly Rate: $19.00-$25.00, depending on experience
