Fine Dining Bartender

Abyss, a new premier fine dining restaurant, located in Downtown Greenville is seeking an experienced bartender to join our dedicated team! We are a locally owned restaurant group that focuses on providing fine dining service with fresh quality food. At Abyss, you will have the opportunity to help craft memorable experiences for our guests, work with professional and friendly staff, and learn new skills in a dynamic and elegant environment.

Core Responsibilities

Are you passionate about creating exquisite cocktails and providing exceptional service in a sophisticated setting? The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional service to assure guest satisfaction to our bar patrons. The Bartender must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to multitask effectively and provide great customer service.

• Stay updated on house and classic cocktail knowledge, including spirits list
• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol control policies
• Maintain a clean and elegantly organized bar area
• Use poise and discretion to promptly inform management of any guest complaints
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless and refined service
• Participate in daily staff training
• Take and ring in food orders in a prompt and efficient manner
• Build a rapport with customers to create a positive atmosphere that has guests coming back
• Open and maintain tabs throughout your shift
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
• Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
• Clean glasses and bar utensils
• Prepare cocktail ingredients and fresh juice as needed for service (up to daily)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Preferably 2 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility and availability to work nights and weekends.
• Team Player
• Great Interpersonal skills
• Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays
