Abyss, a new premier fine dining restaurant, located in Downtown Greenville is seeking an experienced Server to join our dedicated team! We are a locally owned restaurant group that focuses on providing fine dining service with fresh quality food. At Abyss, you will have the opportunity to help craft memorable experiences for our guests, work with professional and friendly staff, and learn new skills in a dynamic and elegant environment.
Core Responsibilities
Are you passionate about creating a memorable experience and providing exceptional service in a sophisticated setting? The Server is responsible for providing exceptional table service to assure guest satisfaction.
- Greet guests warmly and professionally.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of bar and wine offerings, providing guests with exceptional dining experiences through personalized recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, understanding the proper sequence of courses.
- Ensured efficient service by running food from the chefs to guest tables, particularly for dishes that required special serving techniques
- Maintain table cleanliness and presentation throughout the meal.
- Clear plates and glasses promptly.
- Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
- Serve meals and beverages to guests according to established protocols
- Manage multiple tables while ensuring each guest receives personalized attention
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions
- Set tables according to the restaurant's standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Preferably 2 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility and availability to work nights and weekends.
- Team Player
- Great Interpersonal skills
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays
