Abyss, a new premier fine dining restaurant, located in Downtown Greenville is seeking an experienced Food Runner to join our dedicated team! We are a locally owned restaurant group that focuses on providing fine dining service with fresh quality food. At Abyss, you will have the opportunity to help craft memorable experiences for our guests, work with professional and friendly staff, and learn new skills in a dynamic and elegant environment.
Core Responsibilities
Are you passionate about creating a memorable experience and providing exceptional service in a sophisticated setting? The Food Runner is responsible for serving food promptly and accurately to each table.
- Delivery food accurately and efficiently to each table
- Assuring each dish corresponds with the correct table
- Ensure food is presented to the restaurants standards
- Adhere to guests needs
- Remove dirty dishes from table
- Transports dirty dishes to the dishwashing station
- Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure seamless service
- Polish silver and glass as needed.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and guests.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Preferably 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility and availability to work nights and weekends.
- Team Player
- Great Interpersonal skills
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays
