Abyss, a new premier fine dining restaurant, located in Downtown Greenville is seeking an experienced Server Assistant to join our dedicated team! We are a locally owned restaurant group that focuses on providing fine dining service with fresh quality food. At Abyss, you will have the opportunity to help craft memorable experiences for our guests, work with professional and friendly staff, and learn new skills in a dynamic and elegant environment.
Core Responsibilities
Are you passionate about creating a memorable experience and providing exceptional service in a sophisticated setting? The Server Assistant is responsible for providing general support to the servers, to assure an exceptional dining experience for our guest.
- Clear tables of dishes, utensils and trash. Wipe down tables and seating and reset efficiently and promptly.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, ensuring their needs are met to enhance their overall dining experience.
- Removes solid linens and replaces them with clean linen.
- Transports dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
- Polish silver and glass as needed.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked supply of utensils, napkins, condiments, and other necessary items.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and guests.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Preferably 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility and availability to work nights and weekends.
- Team Player
- Great Interpersonal skills
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays
