This role will be integral to the continued growth and success of the organization by providing strategic financial support and analysis to the San Diego Site. The role will have the responsibility of partnering with the site leadership to deliver detailed analytics and a deep understanding of the respective functions. Also responsible for managing the financial forecasting and planning cycles as well as delivering analytics and productivity tools to drive operating efficiencies across the site. It will also have the responsibility of delivering monthly management reports and providing detailed explanations of variances between actuals, budget and forecasts.
Responsibilities
- Daily communication with various business unit leaders to understand project timelines and assist cross-functional teams where necessary.
- Actively drive accountability, monitor performance, and develop financial improvement initiatives across the Company.
- Conduct performance analysis related to ongoing implementation of manufacturing systems.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial statements across all departments.
- Site Finance responsibility for reporting of inventory, PPE, payroll and local taxes and the interface with external accountants and tax advisers on these matters.
- Regular dialogue with local and Group Finance to ensure completeness of month end reporting and to support month-end and year-end closing.
- Support year end insurance renewal and on-going notification of matters arising.
- Preparation of annual site budget, working with department heads.
- Investigate and critique variances to budget and to prior year, identifying areas for improvement to prioritize, presenting to Senior Management.
- Financial support for operational improvements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
