Summary

As a Roadside Assistant, you will be essential in providing immediate support to motorists in need, ensuring their safety and satisfaction. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will utilize your mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand and power tools to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on-site. Your ability to use an ohmmeter will enhance your diagnostic skills, allowing you to address electrical issues effectively. Responsibilities

• Provide roadside assistance to stranded motorists, including jump-starting batteries, changing flat tires, and delivering fuel.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge and hand tools to diagnose and repair minor vehicle issues on-site.
• Maintain and operate power tools safely and effectively during service calls.
• Use an ohmmeter to test electrical components as needed.
• Communicate clearly with customers to assess their needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Document services performed and report any major vehicle issues to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with vehicle maintenance
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and electrical systems
• Ability to operate an ohmmeter for electrical testing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in roadside assistance or a related field is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
