We are hiring a passionate Director of Rooms!

As Director of Rooms, you'll ensure top-tier service, quality, and value for every guest. Your leadership will focus on exceptional customer satisfaction, responding quickly to guest needs, and training your team to meet high standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the department within budget, accurately forecasting expenses and preparing the annual budget to align with the operations plan. Continuously analyze financial data to adjust labor, supplies, and other costs to meet budget targets. Prepare and complete necessary reports, including forecasts, budgets, and action plans
  • Manage the team in line with Concord values, handling recruitment, training, performance reviews, and recognition programs to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. Foster a positive work environment and promote employee empowerment. Monitor payroll and ensure leadership inspires employees to meet and exceed standards. Conduct performance appraisals, offer feedback, and cross-train team members when needed.
  • Ensure staff is trained in control procedures as per Internal Audit guidelines and consistently follows them. Prioritize training and development to empower employees in their roles. Mentor direct reports to develop management talent and ensure employees understand performance standards, review processes, and rewards for success.
  • Manage safety program to protect guests and employees; ensure OSHA requirements are met. Use ongoing safety plan to minimize workers’ compensation claims.
  • Maintain product standards by regularly inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities to ensure they’re in proper condition and stocked with necessary supplies. Inspect rooms for VIP arrivals and ensure company housekeeping standards are met. Address guest complaints and requests promptly, ensuring follow-up. Oversee purchasing of cleaning supplies, linen, equipment, and conduct month-end inventories. Manage lost and found.
  • Submit work orders to the maintenance department on a timely basis and follow-up to ensure completion. Justify requests for capital projects using ROI.
  • Manage security procedures like key control and lost and found, ensuring property operations meet internal audit standards. Coordinate with the General Manager and Chief Engineer on repair and maintenance for guest rooms and public areas. Maintain organized work areas, report unsafe conditions promptly, and schedule and conduct departmental meetings.
