What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crane Operator, boom truck operator position at AC Crane and Sign Service Inc.?
Job Summary
Operator would drive and safely control all eight of our cranes, we begin the day at 6am and work until all of the jobs have been completed. We primarily lift AC units, roof trusses, and men in man baskets to install signs and do other high reach access work. We travel a 50 mile radius of the DMV. We return back to Rockville every afternoon.
Responsibilities and Duties
Operator will assess the situation upon arrival at the job site, determine the safest place to set up the crane, put in place the nessesary pads to set the jack legs on , then advise the customer on the proper way to do the rigging for the lifting to be done. We also run other equipment such as a backhoe and forklift, stakebody truck and trailer.
Qualifications and Skills
All operators must have a class B CDL, and the ability to drive a clutch/stick shift, preference is given to those who already have a NCCO crane operator license, but we can train those that do not. Additional compensation is given to those that can weld, use a cutting torch, can operate a backhoe and forklift, have a knowledge of basic wiring,
