Description

The Social Media Manager is responsible for contributing to overall marketing performance for specific Auro Hotels-owned and managed properties through social media. The position works in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team and supports the respective hotel/food & beverage (F&B) outlets teams to drive awareness, visibility, trial, audience engagement, and ultimately sales/increases revenue for corporate-managed Marriott brand properties with a focus on on-site, branded food and beverage outlets. This position will be responsible for five (5) different F&B outlets in downtown Greenville, SC, including Juniper, The Press Room, Paloma, Perfect Buns, and Oak & Honey.

The Social Media Manager will both manage the overall social media strategy and create content in the form of written, graphic, photography and video assets that visually maximize, inform, and entice potential and existing customers.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Write, schedule, publish, monitor, engage and optimize performance of posts and platforms
  • Create engaging graphics and short-form video content for Instagram, Facebook, and blogs/websites that showcase the unique experience of each food and beverage outlet/hotel
  • Create error-free, engaging copy for social media posts, designed for conversion with calls-to-action, utilizing hashtags; curate community content
  • Set individualized social media platform goals; create and execute business-building strategies and deliver on-brand, unique tone/voice/aesthetic on a per-outlet basis
  • Create, populate and manage social media content calendar, identifying and promoting important promotions from new menu releases, to in-person events, seasonal initiatives, paid programming, and more
  • Manage social media page engagement including feedback, comments, and direct messages
  • Run paid social media ad campaigns / boosts for Facebook and Instagram optimized for key metrics
  • Facilitate ongoing auditing of menus, descriptions, hours of operation, events, accurate representation of menu items, and other information on social media platforms to ensure accuracy
  • Identify key content contributors / social media champions onsite at each location and facilitate authentic asset creation for each respective social media property
  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for sales and operations leadership for all social media-related initiatives and needs
  • Assist with general marketing photography, videography and graphic design needs in support of creative marketing efforts including branding, website development, ad creating, photo shoots, and video shoots
  • Review social media performance analytics, optimizations of strategy, and reporting to key stakeholders
  • List of social media properties and outlets to be managed is subject to change and may expand over time

Work Schedule:

  • This job entails availability and flexibility for weekends, nights and holidays

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience in managing social media marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Meta's Facebook and Instagram business management platform
  • Experience creating, calendaring, and implementing social media marketing calendars
  • Experience with Sprout Social or similar social media management platform
  • Graphic design experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
  • Experience in editing and publishing software for creating short-form videos for social media
  • Experience setting up and managing effective social media advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram
  • Experience in creating Facebook and Instagram campaign performance reporting
  • Experience in photography and video shoots a plus
  • Candidate must reside in market (Greenville, SC area)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
