What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Supervisor/Banquet Captain position at AC Hotel by Marriott Savannah Historic District?
Essential Functions:
- Understand Banquet Event Orders to ensure safe, efficient event set up and break down.
- Help set up and break down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
- Complete prep and side work efficiently so focused attention during the event can be given fully to guest care.
- Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments.
- Always ensure quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
- Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
- Attend to all needs of the guests during functions and function related duties.
- Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
- Must be able to set tables to specifications, carry trays, and deliver excellent customer service
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Attend weekly BEO meeting
- Setup weekly BEO Boards
- Supervise Banquet Servers and Banquet Setup team
- Assist in a supervisor capacity in the other F&B outlets as needed
Work Environment: Semi-Professional work environment requiring uniform standard dress. May interact with guests, other co-workers, work collaboratively.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of food services preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
