What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Bartender position at AC Hotel by Marriott Savannah Historic District?
As a member of the North Point Hospitality team, the Lead Bartender serves bar patrons by preparing beverages as ordered, engaging and assisting them as needed, maintaining stock and ensuring that the bar area is clean and organized. They are additionally responsible for supervising the work of other bar staff members.
Essential Functions:
- Engages with Bar patrons, creates and serves cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Monitors Bar stock inventory and requests replenishment of supplies as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness and follows OSHA standards for proper storage and handling of food and beverage items.
- Ensures collection of proper payment.
- Completes monthly beverage inventory
- Is an instrumental part of the bar menu design process
- Implement specials and is a key player in developing special events
- Supervises the work of other bartenders and bar-backs
- Ensure closing duties of the food and beverage outlet are completed nightly

Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred
- 1-3 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of bar-keeping techniques to create commonly ordered drinks

Occasional kneeling, pushing, & pulling. Occasional ascending or descending stairs. This job will require use of fingers and hands, moving them quickly to handle food, dishes, glassware, and merchandise.
