Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front Desk Supervisor to join our team at the AC Hotel by Marriott Nashville/Brentwood. The Front Desk Supervisor will oversee the front desk operations and ensure that guests have a seamless and exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. This position requires leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. You will supervise the front desk team, manage guest inquiries, and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction while ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and motivate front desk team members to deliver exceptional service to guests.
- Ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process for all guests, handling any issues or requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain guest records and ensure accurate billing and payment processes.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Assist with handling guest complaints and concerns with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest room availability and quality.
- Manage daily cash and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and reports.
- Ensure that all guest services standards are maintained, including concierge services, valet, and room service if applicable.
- Oversee the operation of the front desk during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency, professionalism, and organization.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to provide guests with accurate information.
- Promote a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and collaboration among all hotel departments.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and upgrades according to company policies.
- Assist with training and development programs for new hires and existing team members.
- Monitor hotel occupancy levels and provide regular reports to management on operational performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in hospitality or business preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a hotel front desk or guest service role, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflicts with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Proficient in FOSSE and basic office software.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
- Ability to move around the hotel to assist guests and staff.
