Job Summary:
Juniper, the rooftop restaurant at the AC Hotel by Marriott in downtown Greenville, is seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our establishment. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, seating customers, and ensuring they have a positive dining experience from the moment they walk in. You’ll work closely with the restaurant staff to maintain smooth and efficient service, while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and ready for service.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests with professionalism.
- Monitor dining room activity to identify available seating.
- Assist with light cleaning tasks and resetting tables.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or related roles is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a focus on customer service.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
