What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bread Baker position at AC Restaurants?
Aux Kitchen, the commissary kitchen serving all seven properties in the restaurant group owned by James Beard Award winning chef Ashley Christensen, is seeking a dedicated, dependable bread baker to join our Pastry team. This role will play an integral part in the preparation and execution of our menus.
Bake like a boss. Take pride in your craft and approach it thoughtfully to ensure that every dish enhances our guests experiences. Prepare ingredients consistently, according to the specifications laid out by the Head Baker.
Keep it neat and tidy. Keep equipment, work surfaces, and your general appearance clean and sanitary. Your workspace should impress the neatest of neat freaks.
Keep it safe and organized. Multitask and manage time effectively. Fastidiously check temperatures, use thermometers and timers, and organize ingredients to monitor for freshness and quality, and to ensure food safety.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- You are 18 or older.
- You have some kitchen experience.
- Youre dependable, honest, and professional.
- You have excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- You work well as part of a team, and leave ego at the door.
- Youre familiar with the following tools: ovens (gas and Combi), knives, grinders, graters, blenders, slicers, commercial dishwashers, Robocoupes, ranges, hood systems, cryovac machines, thermometers.
- Youre passionate about the hospitality industry and hungry to learn.
