POSITION SUMMARY
The Payload Operator will be responsible for operating as a part of a team operating EO/IR camera systems, systems maintenance, delivery of data, recording, and photographs to the customer, as well as maintaining and abiding by airspace requirements for UAS platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform appropriate checklists and participate in mission briefings.
- Review Airspace requirements and operate systems safely.
- Operate camera systems and respond to emergency procedures as required.
- Provide video snippets and or still images to customer.
- Provide explanation and limited training to customer.
- Participate in post mission debriefing.
- Assist with various maintenance actions as required by the Site Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of UAS Operator experience or manned aviation experience operating EO/IR Camera systems such as Shadow, AR3, ScanEagle, etc.
- Ability to work independently and in a small team environment.
- Willingness to travel no less than 6 months out of every year (CONUS and OCONUS).
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass Company Background and Drug Screening.
- Ability to pass pre-deployment medical and dental screenings.
- Ability to pass a physical readiness test which will include the ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Strong Computer literacy including power point, word, excel and outlook.
- Understanding of crew rest.
- Ability to follow procedures and company policy.
- Ability to work 12hr on/off, 7 days a week during deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Military Service including operational deployment supporting the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) utilizing EO/IR Camera systems
- Imagery Analyst Intelligence school
- Clearance or ability to get one
- Private Pilot or better (Commercial/Instrument/CFI/CFII)

Work is typically based in a busy operational environment and subject to frequent interruptions and austere conditions. Business work hours are Monday-Sunday 12 hour working days. Ability to lift up to 50lbs is required.
